About the Employer

Join a global industry leader with a purpose-built training academy in Perth. This organisation supports thousands of technical professionals across Australia and is known for its commitment to safety, inclusion, and lifelong learning. Their training facilities are among the best in the country — equipped with advanced diagnostic tools, simulators, and workshop spaces that mirror real-world conditions.

The Opportunity

We’re seeking two experienced trainers to deliver nationally recognised training in:

  • AUR30320 Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology (Heavy Vehicle focus), or
  • AUR31220 Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology

If you’re a qualified HD Fitter or Auto Electrician with extensive experience working on heavy equipment (e.g. Komatsu, Caterpillar, Hitachi, John Deere, Volvo), this is your chance to step off the tools and into a professional training role — while staying hands-on with the machinery you know best.

You’ll work with a supportive, growing team that delivers technical training to both in-house staff and external clients. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys mentoring others, takes pride in high standards of workmanship, and wants to build a career in training.

What’s on Offer

  • Competitive salary package worth ~$137K–$152K + bonus
  • Company vehicle allowance of $19,500 and annual performance bonus
  • TAE40116/40122 not required upfront – full support provided to complete it on the job
  • Work-life balance: Monday–Friday, Perth-based (no FIFO, no night shifts)
  • 16 weeks paid parental leave (primary carer) + 4 weeks (secondary carer)
  • Company-funded income protection insurance
  • Ongoing professional development and career pathways within a large, respected organisation
  • Inclusive, diverse culture where trainers are valued and supported

What You’ll Need

  • Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology or Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology (or equivalent trade qualification)
  • Significant industry experience maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing heavy mobile equipment
  • Strong communication and mentoring skills
  • Commitment to safe, inclusive, high-quality training delivery
  • Cert IV TAE (desirable, but can be gained once employed)

Who This Suits

  • Senior technicians or supervisors ready to move into a stable, Perth-based training role
  • Current or former TAFE/RTO trainers seeking a modern, well-resourced environment
  • Tradespeople with a genuine passion for developing others
