Maths Teacher – Defence Delivery

As a Math's teacher for the Defence Delivery area, your key responsibilities include:

• Teaching essential and trade-based math's at a VCE level
• Planning education practices and delivery sessions that reflect the most effective way to engage learners in a naval setting
• Utilising engaging teaching materials and resources that meet all regulatory standards, training packages and related requirements
• Establishing and maintaining a positive learning environment, including encouraging students to take responsibility for their own learning
• Adapting learning and assessment materials to cater for different naval students, Defence learning environments, facilities, and resources
• Undertaking a range of administrative, coordination, and learning services activities directly related to the areas taught
• Assisting in relation to the establishment, maintenance, and review of teaching programs
• Maintaining a respectful, and safe environment free from discrimination, bullying and harassment

About You

You are a highly motivated individual with well-developed skills in transferring knowledge, including the ability to research, select and use a wide range of learning resources and assessment tools.

Qualifications Required

• VIT Registered
• Bachelor of Education / Teaching
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (advantageous but not essential)
