Join a leading TAFE that delivers a wide range of qualifications in the Marine / Engineering / Automotive aspects of Fixed and Mobile Plant Mechanic field and become part of an ever expanding and highly experienced training team. Your knowledge of the repairing engines, steering and suspension systems, electrical circuits and hydraulics are part of this teaching role. Exposure to a Marine or propulsion background is a bonus.

This company is seeking a motivated and driven individual with a strong commitment to providing quality training on their Defence project in a supportive and professional manner with an immediate start.

With a well-established clientele and reputation, this RTO delivers classroom and practical-based training. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking to engage a Trainer to deliver:

  • Certificate III in Engineering - Fixed and Mobile Plant Mechanic
  • Certificate III in Marine Technology

You will train and develop apprentices undertaking training in a trade college in Melbourne.

On a day-to-day basis your role will include:

  • Facilitating learning on campus in the south-east suburbs of Melbourne
  • Providing support to the students throughout their course
  • Reviewing and evaluating training programs as requested
  • Reviewing and modifying assessment processes
  • Upgrading and maintaining learning resources to align with industry standards

The ideal person for this role will have the following skills and experience:

  • Certificate III in Marine Technology
  • Certificate III in Engineering Mechanical or Automotive Heavy Vehicle - Mobile Plant
  • Commencement of a Certificate IV in Workplace Training/TAE (required prior to start)
  • Current or recent experience working with apprentices
  • Ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds
