OR

Perhaps you’re a great networker with transferable skills and a passion for connecting people to opportunity!

You take pride in helping apprentices thrive and employers succeed.

About Our Client

Our client is a highly respected Group Training Organisation (GTO) dedicated to delivering high-quality plumbing apprenticeships across Queensland. Their mission is simple but powerful — to create safe, successful, and sustainable pathways for apprentices while helping employers grow their businesses through the Group Training model.

We’re looking for someone with experience in Group Training or a strong understanding of the apprenticeship sector — a natural networker who enjoys building relationships, brokering new stakeholder and business partnerships, recruiting talent, and driving business growth. In short, someone who loves connecting people and creating opportunities.

About the Role

As the Senior Apprentice Field Officer & Mentor, you’ll be the vital link between apprentices, host employers, and the organisation.

You’ll manage a caseload of 50–60 apprentices, ensuring each one is fully supported, safe, and progressing successfully toward completion.

Your territory will cover South East Queensland, including Brisbane, the Gold Coast, and the Sunshine Coast.

This is a relationship-driven role — perfect for someone who enjoys mentoring young people, building talent pipelines, recruiting future tradespeople, and being out in the field forging partnerships that make a real difference.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit, employ, and mentor apprentices throughout their training journey.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with host employers, promoting the benefits of the Group Training model.
  • Ensure compliance with DTET, Fair Work, and GTO National Standards.
  • Monitor apprentice progress, placements, and well-being — stepping in early to provide guidance or support.
  • Conduct safety and site visits to ensure every apprentice is working in a safe and supportive environment.
  • Manage all required administration, reporting, and compliance documentation with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Promote the organisation’s services and contribute to growth by identifying new host employers and placement opportunities.

You’ll Bring

  • A current Driver’s Licence
  • Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
  • (Preferred) Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (or willingness to complete)
  • Some knowledge of apprenticeship frameworks, awards, and employment standards
  • A proactive, team-oriented attitude and a genuine passion for developing people

How to Apply

If you’re ready to take your industry knowledge and mentoring skills to the next level — and want to be part of a team that’s shaping the future of plumbing in Queensland — we’d love to hear from you!
